As I said to Guy Mauseth, "anger keeps me focused". This track is kind of an alt rock power ballad. To me the lyrical stylings are very REM-ish, a band I used to listen to through most of the 80s and 90s...

The lyrics are poignant and acidic. You can possibly understand what it is to know people such as these. It is for this that we must remain vigilant, well read, educated and never let our guards down in case of abuse... or exploiters... It is the story of "haves", "have nots", and how the former will walk up a staircase of faces of others to get to where they are. As in "Medicated Society", Supersonictartandeathmachine – Medicated-society, this song is a sad report on humanity and it's priorities...
